Graveside funeral services for Chestina Lewis will be Monday, April 13 in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Briscoe officiating.
Chestina Lewis passed away on Monday, April 6 following a brief illness. She was 79. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church of Ballground.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosie Lee Cartwright Oliver Sr.; her son, Paul Lewis; her daughters, Melanie Lewis and Sharon Elizabeth Lewis; her brothers, John Oliver Jr. and James E. Oliver.
She is survived by her sons, Lembrit Lewis and Thomas Lewis both of Albion, Mich.; her daughters, Debra Robinson, Elena Roby, both of Vicksburg, and Stephanie Webb of Calumet City, Ill.; her brothers, Melvin Lee Oliver of Detroit, and Bennie Oliver of Milwaukee, Wisc.; her sisters, Daisy Cartwright Phelps, Mertis Oliver, Dorothy Davis all of Detroit, Grace Oliver of Yazoo City, and Gladys Oliver of Milwaukee, Wisc.; 20 Grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.
