Morris Glen Keith was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on April 9, 2020, at Promise Hospital. He was 78 years old.

He was born in Durant, on Feb. 8, 1942, moving to Vicksburg to teach and coach football in Warren County Schools. He retired after 31 years in the Vicksburg-Warren School District. He was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where, whenever the doors were open, he was present, singing in the choir and serving with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Morris Keith’s greatest desire was for his life and death to point to the overwhelming love, grace, and mercy of his savior, Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Whitman and Clara Leona Keith and his sister, Marguerite Keith King. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Janis Keith; his brother, Elmer Keith; his two daughters, Leslie Grammar (Jojo) and Kasey Taylor (Sam); his son, William Keith; and his six grandchildren, Emily Drake (Danny), Matthew Davis, Samantha Taylor, Keith Taylor, Sadie Taylor and Illani Keith.
