Vicksburg native set to graduate from U.S. Air Force Academy

A Vicksburg native is scheduled to graduate Saturday from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., before heading to pilot training.

Jordan Locke, 22, a 2015 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy and a 2016 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy Prep School, will graduate Saturday before his first station assignment at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, La. for flight training.

Locke, who is the son of Leonard Locke Jr., of Locke Station and Mitzi and Chris Busby, of Vicksburg, will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force this week.

Locke, who was Porter’s Chapel’s Class of 2015 valedictorian, earned a business management degree while at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
