Second virus-related death reported in Warren County

Another Warren County resident has died as a result of the COVID-19 virus, the Mississippi State Department of Health reported Monday.

This marks the second resident in Warren County to die as a result of the virus.

Also Monday, the state reported the number of confirmed cases in Warren County had increased to 22 overall. That is an increase of one since Sunday.

In the state, the number of confirmed cases increased by 238 since Sunday to 4,512 overall. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 169.

In neighboring counties, Hinds continues to have the most number of cases with 347 overall and five virus-related deaths. Claiborne County now has 10 confirmed cases, with Sharkey County reporting three cases.

Yazoo County reports 95 cases with one virus-related death. Issaquena County continues to report no cases thus far.
