The Warrenton Road on-ramp leading to Interstate 20 eastbound was closed for much of Friday following an accident involving an 18-wheeler. 

The truck, pulling two trailers, struck the on-ramp’s guardrail about 7:21 a.m., tearing open a trailer and sprawling materials along the ramp.

The eastbound lanes of I-20 were reopened about 2:35 p.m., police department spokesman Capt. Mike Bryant said.
