Funeral services for Alice Marie Edmund will be Saturday, May 23, at New Rock of Ages M. B. Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Michael Reed officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Following the directions of the Mayor’s office we are asking that the attendees be limited to 50 percent of the capacity of the church and no more than 50 persons. There will be a visitation Friday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. with social distancing guidelines being observed.

Alice Marie Edmund passed away Friday, May 15, after a sudden illness.  She was 71.  She was a homemaker and member of New Rock of Ages M. B. Church.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete Edmund and Luvenia Ellis; her son, Dennis Wayne Edmund; and daughter Regina Edmund, 

She is survived by her two sons, Gregory Edmund of Dallas, Texas, and Dale Edmund of Vicksburg; her two daughters, Angela Edmund of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elizabeth Edmund of Vicksburg; her three brothers, Leon Lane of El Paso, Texas, Robert Lane of Tallahassee, Fla., and Thomas Johnson of Jackson; and her two sisters, Florence Johnson and Faye Johnson, both of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren.
