Warren County announces additional COVID-19 cases

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Warren County grew slightly Sunday as the Mississippi State Department of Health announced two additional cases in the county. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 150 cases have been confirmed.

In all, the department announced 247 additional cases, bringing the total number of cases reported during the pandemic to 13,252. The department also reported nine additional virus-related deaths. In all, 625 deaths have been connected to the COVID-19 virus. In Warren County, the number of virus-related deaths remained at six.

Claiborne County added one case overnight, bringing their total number of cases reported to 58. Sharkey County remained at seven cases.

Yazoo County reported 11 new cases Sunday. Those new cases give Yazoo County 215 cases reported during the pandemic.

In its reporting Saturday, Madison Parish was reporting 54 total cases.
