Crime reports: Truck parked on Drummond Street damaged by gunfire

Officials with the Vicksburg Police Department continue to investigate an incident Tuesday where a truck on Drummond Street was damaged by someone firing shots as they drove by.

At 11:52 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 3300 block of Drummond Street in reference to a vehicle that had been shot into.

The complainant reported someone shot into the rear passenger-side door of a 2002 Toyota Tundra.

Shell casings were located at the intersection of Drummond and Forrest Street.

In other reports:

• On Tuesday, at 5:59 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Warren Street in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported someone broke into a 2006 Chevrolet Impala and stole $230 from the center console.

• On Tuesday, at 7 a.m., officers responded to an address in the 1600 block of Walnut Street concerning the theft of a vehicle. The victim stated someone stole a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado truck and utility trailer that contained a Kubota riding lawnmower, three weed-eaters, and a blower.
