Graveside services for Michael Odell Thomas are Wednesday, June 3,  at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev Dellie C. Robinson officiating.

Under the Mayor’s guidelines, we ask that attendance be limited to 50 persons or less and all are encouraged to wear facial coverings and social distancing be maintained.

There will be a visitation  Tuesday, June 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, also with the Mayor’s new guidelines being maintained of 50 percent capacity and social distancing being maintained.

Michael Odell Thomas passed away on Thursday the 13 May in Chicago following a brief illness  He was 59.   He worked as a chef and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Montgomery; and his mother, Helen Thomas; and his brother, Charles Thomas.

He is survived by his brothers, Randy Woods of Vicksburg and Ron Walters of Chicago, Ill.; his five sisters, Mary Banks, Hazel Robinson, Martha Thomas, Rena Allen and Zandra Williams, all of Vicksburg; and his aunt, Martha Knight of Vicksburg and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
