The estimated number of active COVID-19 cases in Warren County is now at 70, the highest number of active cases calculated during the outbreak, the Mississippi Department of Health reported on Friday.

Technical issues kept the state from providing information Thursday about new COVID-19 cases and virus-related deaths.

Those problems were fixed Friday. Health officials reported a two-day total of 608 new cases across the state and 13 additional virus-related deaths.
