The Board of Mayor and Aldermen Monday honored three members of the Vicksburg Fire Department on reaching milestones in their career with the department and with the city.

Deputy Chief Derrick Stamps, Lt./EMT Andrew Rodgers and Lt./Paramedic Michael Walker were each presented certificates in recognition for reaching 20 years of service with the Vicksburg Fire Department.

“The 2000 group (employees hired in 2000) has been a very successful group at the Vicksburg Fire Department,” Fire Chief Craig Danczyk said. “Many are now officers and paramedics within the department.”
