Beginning Friday evening, all guests at any of the casinos in Mississippi must be wearing a mask.

The Mississippi Gaming Commission issued the order in a statement Thursday.

“Based on guidance from the State Health Officer and in order to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, all persons in indoor public areas of a casino property shall be required to wear a mask covering the face and nose.” The order goes into effect Friday at 8 p.m.

According to the commission, individuals may remove their masks temporarily while eating, drinking, or when asked by casino staff for identification.

Those not following the new guidelines will be asked to put a mask off and warned. If they continue to not wear a mask they will be asked to leave the property.

Guests not adhering to these requirements will be advised of the requirements and warned that if they continue to disregard they will be asked to leave the property.
