Greatest on the Gridiron: ’79 Warren Central vs. ’55 St. Aloysius

The second of two back-to-back undefeated Warren Central teams from the late 1970s, the 1979 squad is certainly in the discussion for best ever in the Greatest on the Gridiron tournament.

With running back Carl Blue (2,168 yards and a single-season county record 33 touchdowns) leading the way, the Vikings steamrolled nearly every opponent they faced. The defense posted eight shutouts in 12 games and only one game was decided by less than 27 points.
