Memorial Services for Henry McKewen Jr. will be Friday, July 10, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Fisher officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Henry McKewen Jr. passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2020, in his home following a sudden illness. He was 52.

He was born in Port Gibson to Henry and Teresa Jackson McKewen Sr. and accepted Christ at an early age. He attended school in Port Gibson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie McKewen; his parents, Henry and Theresa Jackson McKewen Sr.; his brother Robert Payne Jr.; his sister, Vernell “Bonnie” Young; grandmother Rosie McKewen; and step-father, Leon A Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Josephine (George) Smith of Berkley, Mo., Shelia (Willie) Williams and Charlene (Larry) Ross both of Vicksburg, Lawanda (Leroy) Polk-Allen of Port Gibson, and Sharon Williams-Ratliff of Jackson, Diane Hebron of Gulfport, Aleta Faye (Daniel) Johnson, Alethia Gaye Craft, Janice Shelby, Beatrice (Odell) Nichols, all of Las Vegas,  Nev., Melba Peters of Braxton, Marisa Jackson of Moss Point, Dr. Kimberly (Lenzy) Fisher of Utica; his brothers, Leon A. Williams Jr., Donnell Bride, George Shears, Diane Williams, all of Vicksburg; a brother-in-law, Larry Young of Camarillo, Calif.; an uncle, Alderson (Virgie) Jackson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a special niece, Tangela Williams; a special nephew, Henry Odell Williams; a special cousin, Larry Parrot; and a God-sister Kathy Shettles.
