A Celebration of Life service for Katie Mae Berry has been scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2020, at the Vicksburg City Auditorium at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Berry will lie in repose at the auditorium from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 1 to 7 p.m. at C J Williams Mortuary Services.

Katie confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Holly Grove M.B. Church.

Katie graduated from Rosa A Temple High School in May of 1960. She received recognition in the Glee Club, home economics and basketball. She was a retired master welder of 29 years from International Paper Company.

Katie poured out her heart to all those she knew. She was truly a woman of God.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her daughter, Priscilla Berry; granddaughter, Ebony (Derrick) Gardner; great-grandson, Derrick Kidd Gardner (My Boy); and her nephew, Louis (Michelle) Kelly of Vicksburg.

She will also be remembered by her special cousins, Millard (Bea) Remsey, Vivian Remsey both of Detroit, Mich., Tommy (Martha) Joyce, Jimmy Remsey, Johnny Kirklan of Las Vegas, Nev.; a host of other family members and beloved friends.

Katie’s final resting place will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
