The Hattiesburg Black Sox, an amateur baseball team based in Central Mississippi, played the U.S. Military Baseball Organization in a three-game series at Sports Force Parks on the Mississippi on July 3 and 4.

The Black Sox have several Warren County players on the roster, and will host the Mississippi State Amateur Baseball Tournament July 24-26 at Sports Force Parks. They are also tentatively scheduled to host a four-team tournament July 17-19.
