Funeral services for Janie Mae Griffin will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020, in the Vicksburg City Auditorium at 2 p.m. with the Bishop Edward Knight officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020, from 6 to 7 p.m. with strict social guidelines observed. Mask shall be worn inside the building and social distancing maintained.

Janie M. Griffin passed away Monday, July 20, 2020, in the University Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 65.

She was retired from Batesville Casket Co and a member of Greater Mt. Zion M. B Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lenard Rush.

She is survived by her mother, Rosa Lee Griffin; daughter, Jessica Griffin-Huband of Vicksburg; her two brothers, David W. Griffin of Dallas, and Timothy J. Griffin of Meridianville, Ala.; her four sisters, Terry Griffin, Betty Griffin, Rosetta Young all of Vicksburg and Emma Harris of Utica; and four grandchildren.
