Felton Townsend passed away on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020, at the age of 80.

Felton was born on Feb. 22, 1940, the son of Austin Townsend and Mary Bell Townsend. He was employed at Foam Packaging for 26 years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Mary Lee Townsend, Melvin Townsend and Leo Townsend.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Patsy Townsend; son, Corwayne Townsend (Jennifer); daughters, Nicole Nelson and Sherry Jackson (W.A.); siblings, James Townsend, Willie Townsend, Audrey Covington and Marlon Townsend; grandchildren, Amanda Lasalle (David), Taylor Nelson, Lillie Townsend, Cambria Abdeen and Zak Abdeen; great-grandchildren, Ethan Lasalle, Max Lasalle and Dean Lasalle.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Brumfield officiating the service. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Hearn, Malcolm Dunaway, Steve English, Mike Goings, Zak Abdeen and Brad Townsend. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray English, Jesse Davenport, David Duke, Deacons of Immanuel Baptist Church and the employees of Foam Packaging.
