Funeral services for William “Buddy” Earl Winters will be Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Weathersby Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, from noon to 7 p.m. for the public with social distancing guidelines strictly observed.

William Earl Winters went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 62. He worked several years in the bricklaying business with his brother and later worked in janitorial services. He was a member of the Greater Rose Hill M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Elsie Mann Winters Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Tabitha (Tyrone) Jones of Vicksburg; his three brothers, Leon Wright of Urbana, Ill., Herman (Mary) Winters  Jr. and James “Jimmy” (Peggy) Winters Sr. both of Vicksburg, his four sisters Margaret (Jonas) Caldwell of Vicksburg, Esther (Peter) Poe of Chicago, Ill., Gladys McClain of Clinton and Wanda K. Winters of Vicksburg; a grandson, DeMichael Jones; and two great-grandsons, Kaiden and Kameron White.
