Graveside services for Willis (Cooter Man) Britton will be Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, in the Cary Community Cemetery at noon under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Reginald Anderson officiating.  

Willis Britton passed away Aug. 7 in his residence following a brief illness. He was 63. He had worked for the Ford Motor Co. in Chicago and had recently moved back to Cary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Mekie Lee Usher Britton Sr.; and his brother, Roosevelt Britton.

He is survived by his five brothers, Johnnie Britton Jr. of Champagne, Ill., Rufus Britton and David Britton of Memphis, Tenn. and Charles Britton of Vicksburg; his three sisters, Mattie Britton Neal of St. Cloud, Fla., Hattie Britton of Rolling Fork and Carolyn A. Britton of Memphis, Tenn. and a host of nieces, nephews and others.
