Estimated active COVID-19 cases in Warren County fall

For the first time in more than two months, the number of estimated active COVID-19 cases in Warren County fell below 100, as no new cases were reported Monday by state health officials.

With Monday’s report, the number of estimated active cases fell to 82, which is the lowest figure since June 21.

The zero reported cases also helped drive down the daily average over the past week, as the past seven days have seen an average of 6.3 cases per day. The prior seven-day average was 11.3.

Overall, Warren County has now reported 1,248 cases and 41 virus-related deaths since late March.

As for the state, health officials announced 511 new cases and eight new deaths. Since the first case was reported in Mississippi on March 11, the state has reported 78,405 cases and 2,248 deaths. Also Monday, the state reported that of those 78,405 cases, 62,707 are presumed recovered.
