Robert E. Hunt

A celebration of life for Robert E. Hunt has been scheduled For Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, at the Vicksburg City Auditorium at 2 p.m. Robert will lie in repose at the auditorium from 1 p.m until the hour of service.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at CJ Williams Mortuary Services from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Robert was a very skilled plumber for over 65 years and has serviced homes and businesses all across Mississippi. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior at New Poplar Grove in Utica. He enjoyed caring for his cattle, his horses, cats and dogs.

His memories will forever live in the hearts of his devoted wife and companion of 68 years, Beadie Ridley Hunt; his son, Terrell Butler; stepson, Julius (Lisa) Ridley Jr, Muskegon, Mich.; three brothers, Elijah Hunt Sr. of Vicksburg, Eddie Hunt, Sherman Hunt, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Virgie Baskerville, Los Angeles; niece reared with him, Delores McGriggs, Los Angeles; a dedicated niece, Charlene Squire, Vicksburg; special cousin, buddy and grandson, CJ Williams; his neighbors for over 50 years, Ruth Williams, Clinton Williams and Alvin Sanders; nine step-grandchildren; other relatives include the Hunt, Carson, Turner, Flaggs, McPherson, Brown, Fisher, Burks, Garrett and Bunley families.

Robert transitioned at University of Mississippi Medical Center at the age of 94.
