Shots that killed teenager Monday fired from a vehicle

Keiylan Cessna, 14, was walking with two others near the 1200 block of Bowmar Avenue late Monday when he was shot and killed.

According to details available from the Vicksburg Police Department, the shooting took place just before midnight and indicate the multiple shots that killed Cessna came from a vehicle driving in the area.

There was no information available yet as to the make and model of the suspected vehicle. Cessna died at the scene.

Cessna was the second Warren County teenager shot to death in less than 24 hours Monday.

Ethan Powell, 18, was shot and killed just after midnight Monday in the 100 block of Abraham Drive in Warren County.

Kemond Urell Jones, 15, was arrested in the shooting of Powell after his family brought him to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon.

Jones made his initial appearance in Warren County Justice Court on Tuesday. He was ordered held on a $1 million bond by Judge Ed Woods.
