The program by the Vicksburg Warren School District to provide meals to those students attending school online has now been extended to include all children — 18 and under — in Warren County.

Beginning Wednesday, free school meals will be provided to all children ages 18 and younger. The service was previously only offered to enrolled VWSD students.

Meals may be picked up a child’s closest bus stop Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. A list of bus stops can be found at www.vwsd.org/transportation.

On the District’s 60 percent days, which are scheduled for Sept. 30 and Dec. 18, meals may be picked up at either Dana Road Elementary School or Sherman Avenue Elementary School. Meals will not be provided on any school holidays.

The program, which is coordinated through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is currently approved through Dec. 18.
