Mrs. Marsha Sanders Brown, 69, passed away on Sept. 27, 2020, at her home with her husband of 50 years, Jimmy, by her side. She was born July 21, 1951, in Vicksburg.

She confessed Christ at an early age and was an active member for numerous years at Jackson Street Baptist Church pastored by the late Reverend A. W. Wilson.

Mrs. Brown was a retired school teacher from the Warren County school system with 27 years of service. She was a 1973 graduate of Alcorn State University with a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a member of Rosa A. Temple class of 1969.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Mary Louise Young.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Brown II; her son, Jim (Venessa) Brown III of Vicksburg; her daughter, Tonya J. (Rick) Knowles of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Antonio, Patience, Leah and Justin; five great-grandchildren, Tracy, Trakel, Penelope, Kingston and Adam Noah; one brother, Frank Reed of Ridgeland; one sister, Lorraine Davenport of Vicksburg; and a host of nephews, nieces and beloved family and friends.

Services will be Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
