School district announces better week involving COVID-19 cases

On Oct. 5, the Vicksburg Warren School District announced three confirmed COVID-19 cases involving students and staff and more than 50 quarantined due to possible exposure. Monday’s COVID-19 report by the district was far better.

In its report filed with the Mississippi State Department of Health, the district announced one new case involving a staff member at Redwood Elementary School and one new case involving a staff member at Warren Central Junior High School.

There were no additional cases involving students, nor were there any reports of additional students or staff asked to quarantine.
