From the very beginning, Vicksburg Living’s readers have been key to the magazine’s continued success, no more so than the past two editions, where items submitted by readers have taken the award-winning magazine to a new level.

The photos of families enjoying their front porch space in the July-August edition, followed by the amazing pet photographs shared with the magazine for the September-October edition brought smiles to plenty of faces.

We want that to continue in the next edition.

For the magazine’s upcoming Holiday Issue, which will be available at the end of October, the magazine staff is asking families to share with us a holiday family photo — a photo that did appear or could appear on a Christmas card. As part of the upcoming magazine, those photographs will be shared as a collection to help send warm wishes to those throughout the community and help put a bright period to a year that has been very interesting, to say the least.

In addition to the photograph and the names of those in the photograph, the staff is also asking that each family share with the readers their favorite holiday tradition. Is there something mom cooks just for Christmas, or is there an event the family plans around New Years’?

But, just like shopping days remaining until Christmas, time is running out to participate. In order to make publication deadlines, photographs need to be emailed to news@vicksburgpost.com no later than Saturday, Oct. 17; that is THIS Saturday.
