Tallulah zooms past Christian Collegiate with 38-point quarter

Tallulah Academy stomped on the gas and pulled away from Christian Collegiate Academy in a hurry.

The Trojans erupted for 38 points in the second quarter and set a season-high point total with a 62-28 victory over Christian Collegiate in an MAIS eight-man game Friday night.

Twin brothers Walker and Carter Sullivan combined for 299 rushing yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries. Carter carried the ball five times for 158 yards, with touchdowns of 65 and 34 yards. Walker had 141 yards, with touchdowns covering 14, 45 and 73 yards.

The Sullivan brothers scored four touchdowns in the second quarter as the Trojans turned a slim 14-12 lead entering the period into a 52-18 rout at halftime.

Marsh Wood caught two touchdown passes from Dee Morgan, who was 5-of-6 passing for 132 yards. Morgan also ran for a 25-yard touchdown. Wood finished with three receptions for 103 yards.

Wyatt Bedgood also scored a touchdown for Tallulah (5-3).

Tallulah will host Prairie View Academy in the regular-season finale next Friday.
