Fall is in the air, which means it’s time for the annual Germanfest organized by the Lutheran Church of the Messiah’s annual Germanfest.

This year will mark the 33rd installment of the event, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church located at 301 Cain Ridge Road.

“The menu will include our famous Usinger’s Wisconsin Bratwurst sausage along with hot German potato salad with bacon, calico baked beans and a roll,” church member Ruth Osburn said.

Osburn said there will also be “fabulous” deserts which will include cheesecake, carrot cake, caramel cake and pumpkin roll.

The cost of the Bratwurst dinner plate $10 and $5 for a hot dog plate. All desserts are sold separately.

Tickets will be available at the door. There will be no pre-sales.

Germanfest, which is a fundraiser for the church, has in years past offered both a dine-in option as well as take-out orders, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic all orders this year will be take-out, Osburn said. Also, all COVID-19 restrictions will be observed.  Face masks and 6-foot social distancing will be required.
