Police reports: Family asks for help in finding missing loved one

A Vicksburg family is seeking the community’s help in finding a missing family member.

Thursday, the Vicksburg Police Department released the name and image of Michael Moffett, a Vicksburg man who was last seen by family members more than a month ago.

The family reported him missing to the police department Tuesday.

Moffett, 50, 5-foot, 6- inches, had a last known place of residence at 3117 Washington Street.

Anyone with information on Moffett’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511.

 

In other reports:

• On Tuesday, at 10:03 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington St., in reference to a theft. The victim reported someone stole a debit card, a Mississippi driver’s license and a propane torch out of his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

• On Wednesday, at 6:06 a.m., officers responded to the Econo Lodge, 3955 East Clay St., in reference to a theft. The victim reported some took a Denyo Multi Equip generator valued at $2,400 out of the bed of his work truck.

• On Tuesday, at 9:50 a.m., officers responded to Hillcrest Conoco, 3886 Hwy 61 South, in reference to a theft.  The victim reported someone stole a 5.3L Chevrolet engine valued at $2,500 from the premises.
