An 18-wheeler knocked down powerlines on Pemberton Boulevard Monday afternoon, causing a traffic jam at the intersection of Pemberton and Hall’s Ferry Road.

Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones said she could not give a timeline for when the line would be removed from the road.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes and avoid the area through rush hour.
