Tougaloo College men’s basketball head coach Eric Strothers, a Vicksburg native, was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Tougaloo has a 28-1 record and won the GCAC Tournament by beating Philander Smith 62-61 on Feb. 25.
