The Army and Navy Club of Vicksburg on Thursday morning raised a new American flag over the Old Mississippi River Bridge.

The flags are changed out every three months and each new flag is in honor of a new person and sponsored by his or her family or friends. Thursday’s ceremony marked the raising of the 88th sponsored flag, which is flying in memory of the late Kevin Dale East, of Monroe, a member of the U.S. Navy.
