Porter’s Chapel Academy softball player Natalie Cantin went 4-for-7 with a home run, two triples, six RBIs and six runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Madison-St. Joe on Tuesday. PCA won 20-12 and 22-6.
A host of other Lady Eagles had big days at the plate, as well. Marley Bufkin was 5-for-8 in the two games, with a home run, six RBIs and six runs scored; Mia Abdo went 4-for-5 with four RBIs in game two, and also drove in the three runs in game one; Lauren Rae Davis drove in four runs and scored five; and Kinsley Luke was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in game one.
Porter’s Chapel (3-4) will play its next game Thursday at 7 p.m., at Key City Park (formerly Sports Force Parks) against Wilkinson County Christian. It will also host River Oaks Monday at 7 p.m., and Jackson Academy on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
