St. Aloysius’ soccer team only got one shot into the net Monday, but it was enough.

Frances Ferrell knocked in a corner kick from Samantha Edwards, and the Lady Flashes hung on to beat Park Place 1-0 at Balzli Field.

Sara Smith made three saves in goal for St. Al (4-4-1, 2-1 MAIS Division II Central), and Taryn Lusby, Reese Lyons and Lynlee McMullin provided stellar defense in front of here.

St. Al will go on the road for its next match, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. against the Hattiesburg Forerunners.
