A weekly recap of performances by college football players from Vicksburg-area high schools:
• West Alabama defensive back Lamar Gray (Warren Central) had four total tackles, two tackles for loss, one pass break-up and two interceptions in a 35-33 double-overtime victory against West Florida.
• South Alabama offensive lineman Reed Buys (Warren Central) started at right guard in a 48-14 rout of Appalachian State. South Alabama rushed for 320 yards in the victory.
• South Alabama linebacker Julien Demby (Warren Central) had one solo tackle and one pass break-up in the win over Appalachian State.
• Nicholls defensive back Laurence Sullivan Jr. (Vicksburg High) had two tackles, one-half tackle for loss, and one pass break-up in a 66-0 rout of Mississippi Valley State.
• Delta State tight end Carter Coullard (Briarfield Academy) caught one pass for five yards in a 27-24 win against Fort Valley State.
• Southern University kicker Joshua Griffin (Warren Central) kicked a 31-yard field goal and was 2-for-2 on PATs in a 31-24 overtime victory against Prairie View A&M. Griffin also had three touchbacks on five kickoffs and assisted on one tackle.
• Mississippi Gulf Coast running back Trey Hall (Warren Central) carried the ball 11 times for 163 yards, and scored a 93-yard touchdown in a 55-36 victory against Southwest Mississippi. Hall also caught one pass for two yards and assisted on one tackle.
• Mississippi Gulf Coast wide receiver Tyler Henderson (Vicksburg High) caught three passes for 68 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown, against Southwest Mississippi.
• Mississippi Gulf Coast wide receiver Zack Evans (Warren Central) had one rushing attempt for minus-5 yards against Southwest Mississippi.
• Hinds Community College defensive back Kearris Gilliam (Vicksburg High) had five solo tackles and one tackle for loss in a 23-7 loss to Mississippi Delta.
• Hinds Community College offensive lineman Jerald Woods (Warren Central) started at left tackle in the loss to Mississippi Delta.
• Co-Lin linebacker Rakeem Davis (Port Gibson) had three total tackles and one pass break-up in a 21-12 loss to Jones College.
• Coahoma Community College linebacker Logan Myles (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle in a 35-16 loss to Northwest Mississippi. Northwest Mississippi quarterback Jack Wright (Warren Central) played on special teams.
• East Mississippi Community College offensive lineman Shar’Dez Taylor (Vicksburg High) started at tackle in a 36-34 loss to Itawamba Community College.
