Funeral services for Richard Clark are to be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. in the Ardis T. Williams Auditorium with the Rev. Douglas Harris officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the funeral home.

Richard Clark passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the G.V. Sonny Montgomery Veterans Hospital following a brief illness. He was 77. He was a retired mechanic having worked for the Engineer Research and Development Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Greater Mt. Olive M.B. Church. He was a member of the Tyner Ford Post 213 American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Brown and Blanche Clark; his brothers, Donald Earl Johnson, Robert Mays, Roy Bo Mays, and James Bradley; and his sister, Patrcia Ann Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Clark; his sons, Jonathan Clark Sr. of Vicksburg, Anthony C. Clark of McComb, Mississippi, Torrance Burnett of Florida, and Trey Michael Vincent of Vicksburg; his daughters, DeLisa Sims Dotson of Monroe, Louisiana, Renata Clark, Erica Harris and Tiffany Clark all of Vicksburg; his brother, Leonard Mays of Brandon, Mississippi and Robert Lee Clark of Vicksburg; his sisters, Wanda Jeanette Clark, Clara Clark Jones, Albertha Clark Ivy, Rosemary Bush, Patricia Mays and Helen Paulding; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; an aunt, Jeanette Jordan of Vicksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
