Warren Central’s Sydney Sullivan is The Post’s Athlete of the Week

Sydney Sullivan started the tennis season by making a racket in The Vicksburg Post’s Athlete of the Week contest.
The Warren Central junior received 2,599 of the 4,353 votes cast in an online poll of The Post’s readers to claim the award.
St. Aloysius soccer player Corbin Burroughs finished second, with 959 votes. Porter’s Chapel Academy basketball player Schaffer Bell was third, with 624 votes, and Vicksburg High soccer player Trinity McGloser was fourth with 250.
Sullivan won all three of her matches at the HS City Classic preseason tournament on Feb. 1. She teamed with Lillian Feibelman for two girls’ doubles victories, and with Brady Taylor to win a mixed doubles match. Sullivan and her partners did not lose a set in their matches.
