East Central Community College softball player Kayleigh Karel, a former Warren Central star, went 5-for-6 with two doubles, two RBIs, one run scored and one stolen base as the Lady Warriors split a doubleheader against Marion Military Institute on Thursday.
East Central lost the first game 4-2, then won 5-0 in game two as Karel doubled and drove in two runs. Karel started both games as East Central’s center fielder.
East Central will play its home opener in Decatur on Feb. 12, when it hosts Northwest-Shoals Community College in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
