Coralie Ann Richardson

Coralie Ann Richardson, born July 16, 1937, in Bangor, Maine, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, after a long struggle with dementia. Coralie attended Yale Nursing School in New Haven, Connecticut and became a registered nurse. She met the love of her life, Rich, on a blind date. They were engaged five days later and married for more than 50 years. Coralie was the best Grammy to all her five grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Phil Rogers; brother, Brian Rogers; her beloved husband, R. L. Richardson Jr.; and niece, Kristie Butt. She is survived by her three children, Holly Guidry (Jimmy) of Back Brusly, Louisiana, Jeff Richardson (Marian) of Vicksburg, and Richie Richardson of Baton Rouge; grandsons, Travis Arceneaux, Baxter Richardson, Jack Richardson, Luke Richardson, Brittany, and Brooks Richardson; a great-grandson, Gray Richardson; sisters, Jane Butt (Larry) of Augusta, Georgia and Mary Freeman (John) of Westmanland, Maine; and niece, Wendy Butt.
Her children would like to thank the loving staff at Vicksburg Convalescent Center for caring for Coralie in her final years. A memorial service will take place at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church Saturday, Feb. 22, with visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of Coralie’s favorite B.R. charities: O’Brien House or the Battered Women’s Clinic or the Alzheimer’s Association.
