Mississippi Delta Community College basketball player Janiah Caples, a former Vicksburg High star, had 19 points and seven rebounds in a 64-56 win over Holmes CC on Feb. 10. She also led Mississippi Delta to an 83-48 rout of Jones College on Thursday.

Caples is leading Mississippi Delta in scoring this season, at 15.9 points per game, and is also averaging 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.7 assists.

Mississippi Delta has a 16-4 overall record and is 5-4 in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference. The Lady Trojans will next play at Northeast Mississippi on Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
