Voting is under way for The Vicksburg Post’s Athlete of the Week contest.
This week’s nominees are basketball players Zion Harvey (Vicksburg) and Roosevelt Harris (Warren Central); and baseball players Michael Evans (Port Gibson) and William Roberson (St. Aloysius). Voting is open until midnight Tuesday, and you can vote as many times as you want until the deadline.

Zion Harvey, a senior with Vicksburg High’s girls’ basketball team, totaled 30 points, seven rebounds, eight steals and six assists in a 64-60 victory over Center Hill in the first round of the MHSAA Class 6A state tournament on Feb. 14.
Michael Evans, a shortstop and pitcher for Port Gibson’s baseball team, was 5-for-7 with six RBIs and five runs scored as the Blue Waves won all three of their games last week. Evans also pitched six innings and had seven strikeouts in a 4-3 victory over Porter’s Chapel Academy on Feb. 10.
Roosevelt Harris, a senior with Warren Central’s boys’ basketball team, had 15 points and six assists in a 56-42 win over South Panola in the first round of the MHSAA Class 6A tournament on Feb. 14. He has averaged 10 points and seven assists in four postseason games.
William Roberson, a second baseman with St. Aloysius’ baseball team, had a hit in all three of the Flashes’ games last week, scored four runs and had three RBIs.
