- St. Aloysius baseball player Sadler Lambiotte was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a 5-3 loss to Tri-County on Tuesday.
St. Aloysius mounted a rally to tie the game, then Tri-County countered with one that won it.
Tri-County scored twice in the top of the eighth inning after St. Al had scored two runs of its own in the bottom of the seventh, and escaped Bazinsky Field with a 5-3 win over the Flashes on Tuesday.
Peyton Patridge went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, and pitched three innings of relief for Tri-County. He drove in one run with a bunt single in the fourth inning, had a more traditional single up the middle in the sixth, and then singled and scored on Brian Bergeron’s triple in the eighth.
St. Al trailed 3-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning. A hit batter and an error set up Keller Bradley for an RBI single. Carson Smith, who had reached on the error, then scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly by Clark Hobson to force extra innings.
St. Al got its other run in the bottom of the fourth. Sadler Lambiotte hit a double and scored on a two-out single by Laken Bradley.
Lambiotte and Keller Bradley had two hits apiece for St. Al (3-3). William Roberson reached base twice and scored a run.
The Flashes will have the rest of the week off before playing a pair of road games at Manchester Academy and at Tri-County on Feb. 24 and 25. Both varsity games begin at 6 p.m.
