During Thursday’s regular meeting of the Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) Board of Trustees, school board members Alonzo Stevens and Linda Patterson were sworn into office by circuit court Judge M. James Chaney.

Patterson defeated Incumbent Tawina Dotson in November’s regular election in the race for Board of Trustees District 4 seat.

Stevens was not up for re-election in 2024; however, VWSD Superintendent Dr. Tori Holloway said all board members are sworn in again following each election cycle. Stevens took office as the trustee for District 2 in  2019.
