Robbins, Powell and McKinley are the first three batters in Prep’s lineup, and they ignited all three rallies. Powell had an RBI single and McKinley an RBI double in the fourth inning, and then Powell singled in another run and scored on Cole Gideon’s double in the sixth. Robbins also hit a two-run single in the seventh inning.

Hayes Loper was 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored for Warren Central. Tristan Jamison doubled twice, drove in one run and scored another, and Trace Hood also doubled in two runs.

Tuesday’s game was the first of two this week for Warren Central against MAIS teams. It will host Hartfield Academy Friday at 7 p.m. The Vikings will also play at Clinton Saturday at 2 p.m.

Brookhaven 15, Vicksburg 5
Mason White was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Drew Nelson hit a solo home run, and Brookhaven pulled away late for a run-rule victory over Vicksburg High (3-4).

Brookhaven (4-3) only led 1-0 through three innings, then scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth. Nelson led off the inning with a home run, and then three Vicksburg errors allowed the Panthers to break it open.

Vicksburg answered with five runs in the top of the fifth inning, but couldn’t catch up. Allan Allen and Mincer Minor both had RBI singles. Those were the Gators’ only two hits of the game, however.

Tuesday’s game was the first of four on the road this week for the Gators. They’ll go to Terry Thursday, Starkville Friday, and Germantown on Saturday. The Thursday and Friday games begin at 7 p.m., and Saturday’s is at 4.

Tri-County 8, St. Aloysius 1
Crews Albritton hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning that allowed Tri-County to pull away in a win over St. Aloysius (4-4) on Tuesday.

Sawyer Petit also had two hits, including a solo home run, and two RBIs for Tri-County.

Albritton’s home run came after Hayden Smith was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and turned a tight game into an 8-1 blowout.

St. Al only had two hits, both of them singles by Keller Bradley. Clark Hobson drove in a run with a ground out. He also pitched five innings and had five strikeouts.

St. Al will be back at home Friday to face Tallulah Academy. The junior varsity game starts at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 6.

Between games, at approximately 5:45 p.m., children are invited to run the bases and join the team on the field for introductions and the national anthem. St. Al will also introduce its Diamond Girls.

Tallulah Academy 14, Union Christian 0
Tripp Gayle rang up 11 strikeouts while throwing a four-inning no-hitter and leading Tallulah Academy (4-1) to a run-rule win against Union Christian.

Gayle struck out the side on nine pitches in the second inning.

Tallulah scored eight runs in the first inning. J.T. McDaniel and Denton Ray both tripled, while Laken Wilder and Charlie Vining drove in two runs each with singles.

Vining finished with two hits and two RBIs.
