James Kirkland and Madge Bellamy appeared in “Secrets of the Night” at the Alamo Theater • Jennie Fulkerson, who had been ill, was improved.

Smedes Vosburg wrote an interesting poem about the Porterfield home. • The Jones dancing school pupils presented “Fiesta” at the Strand Theatre.

Lt. J.M. Fried Jr. was wounded in action in Europe. • Jim Anderson was named Mr. Carr Central High School and Dot Moore was named Miss Carr Central High School.
