Saturday’s 13th annual Carnaval de Mardi Gras Gumbo Cook-Off packed the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation and pitted a number of teams against one another for the coveted prizes of best gumbo and best non-seafood gumbo.

This year’s winners include: 4 Dumbo Gumbo third place in the non-seafood category; Krewe de Chaos, second place in the non-seafood category; McCain Tree Service, first place in the non-seafood category; Rusty’s Riverfront Grill, third place in the seafood category; Riverwalk Casino, second place in the seafood category; Golding Barge Line, first place in the seafood category; People’s Choice, Rusty’s Riverfront Grill; City vs. County winner, Warren County; Best Decorated, Rouxin on the River; Most Spirited Team, Golding Barge Line.
