St. Aloysius’ tennis team didn’t have to lift a finger to beat Silliman on Monday.

The Flashes won both boys’ doubles matches and one singles match by forfeit when Silliman couldn’t fill the court, and those points turned out to be the difference as they won 6-3 at Halls Ferry Park.

The teams split the other matches 3-3. Michael Moore won his boys’ singles match 6-2, 6-1, while Cristan Wood rallied for a 4-6, 6-0, 11-9 tiebreaker win in No. 1 girls’ singles.

The No. 1 girls’ doubles team of Marley Bufkin and Sophie Masterson, and the No. 1 boys’ doubles team of Noah LaBarre and Ryan LaBarre also both won 6-0, 6-0.

The mixed doubles tandem of Jordan Combs and Wyatt Mullinax won 6-0, 6-1, while the No. 2 girls’ doubles team of Hannah Everett and Mak Madison had the only thing resembling a competitive match. Everett and Madison defeated Hillcrest’s team 6-2, 6-1.

PCA’s next match is not until March 21, at Halls Ferry Park against River Oaks.
