Nuisance properties were addressed at a public hearing during a meeting of The Warren County Board of Supervisors on February 18.
The board unanimously voted to find two properties in such a state of uncleanliness as to be a menace to the public health, safety, and welfare of the community.
The first property is at 3595 Mt Alban Road.
“As we’ve discussed in working sessions and even prior times, this is the second time this property is coming up for this purpose,” Blake Teller, attorney for the Warren County Board of Supervisors, said during the meeting.
The other property is at 530 Culkin Road.
“This is another repeat property that was addressed a year or two ago,” Teller said. “We’re continuing to have trouble with it with regard to tires and other debris, et cetera, being piled up on the property.”
The owners of the properties will have one year to clean up the offending areas. Alternatively, the county may do the cleaning, in which case the cost will be applied to the owner’s tax obligation.
