Funeral services for Calvin White are to be held Sunday, March 16, in the chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home at noon with the Rev. Kevin Winters officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 15, in the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.

Calvin White passed away Tuesday, March 4, following a sudden illness. He was 64. He worked for GNB Battery Co., Foam Packing, Warren County and the City of Vicksburg. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah White and Hattie Mary James Haynes, and his brother, Johnny Lee James.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Juliet Maxey, and her husband, Michael Maxey, of Vicksburg; a niece, Jennifer (Chinedu) Iwuagwu of LaMarque, Texas; a nephew, Rueben (Diante) Maxey of Baytown, Texas; a great-niece, Lucia Maxey; three great-nephews, Ian Omokoya, Ikem Iwuagwu and Eli Reuben Maxey; an aunt, Rosie Lee Wilson; and a host of cousins, and other relatives and friends.
